PROJECT: Anodizing and Painting Treatments for Magnesium
ACHIEVEMENT: Development of both inorganic and organic processes/formulations, using highly reactive formulations to achieve excellent adhesion between the coating and the magnesium substrate. Improved corrosion resistance and a black surface finish were achieved (3,000 hours of neutral salt spray resistance).
